Zusammenfassung
Technologie- und Innovationsmanagement nimmt innerhalb der Betriebswirtschaftslehre einen besonderen Platz ein. Es beschäftigt sich damit, wie man auf der Basis von neuem technologischem Wissen neue Produkte und Dienstleistungen in den Markt bringen kann. Von solchen Neuerungen sind alle Bereiche eines Unternehmens betroffen. Letztendlich repräsentiert Technologie- und Innovationsmanagement eine Querschnittsfunktion von der Forschung und Entwicklung als Produktionsfunktion über die Vermarktung von Innovationen als Absatzfunktion bis hin zu Organisation, Finanzierung und Controlling von Innovationen. Technologie- und Innovationsmanagement umfasst ferner in starkem Maße strategische Fragestellungen, muss aber auch viele operative Fragen beantworten, damit man konkret aus einer Idee zu einem neuen Produkt kommen kann.
