Zusammenfassung
Der moderne kapitalistische Staat interveniert in beträchtlichem Ausmaß in wirtschaftliche Entwicklungen. Das zeigt sich in einer seit dem zweiten Weltkrieg stark zunehmenden Staatstätigkeit und einer Expansion des öffentlichen Sektors. Trotz der marktwirtschaftlichen Ordnung der westlichen Industriegesellschaften wurden faktisch Allokationsfunktionen vom Markt zum Staat verlagert.
