Zusammenfassung
Den Rahmenbedingungen für die soziale Integration liegen zu wesentlichen Teilen politische Entscheidungsprozesse zugrunde. Um diese besser nachvollziehen zu können, sind politökonomische Analysen notwendig. Diese müssen die Interessen der Politikerinnen und Politiker selbst sowie ihrer Wählerschaft in den Blick nehmen, wobei insbesondere die Wirkungen auf die Struktur der Wählerbasis, den Arbeitsmarkt, die Staatsfinanzen und das Miteinander in den Wohnquartieren von Bedeutung sind.
