Abstract
While reflecting on the analysis of gender mainstreaming in energy policies and frameworks, presented in Rojas and Prebble’s chapter, this chapter provides suggestions on how to address the current environmental crises resulting from capitalism and its dependency on fossil fuels. From an ecofeminist perspective, this reflection explores gender mainstreaming and the concept of a just transition to suggest an approach of energy transition that considers the points of consumption and production of energy and addresses the connection between different forms of oppression.
