Abstract

Modern trends in process development are mainly based on the needs of the market for production that is characterized by the technical and economic advantages as compared to conventional production. Although the development of microsystems (MST) and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) exists for more than 30 years, due to increased application in communication, automated production, transport, health care, and defense systems, there has been advancement of research related to the development and expansion of techniques for production of small size parts (from micro to nano sizes) in the recent years. The paper lists some of the techniques of microforming process with basic characteristics.
