Abstract
Properties of transient held of impulse radiating antennas (IRA) were described predominantly for reflector antennas with circular aperture1–9. However, the shape of the aperture changes the spatial-temporal field distribution, especially, in the near-field region. The goals of the paper are to describe the transient fields of rectangular aperture and to compare these results with those obtained for circular aperture9.
