Abstract

The exposure of luteal and testicular tissue in vivo to hCG has been shown to induce a rapid loss of sensitivity of adenylate cyclase (AC) to subsequent LH- or hCG-stimulations. The explanation for this phenomenon appears to be the loss of available receptor sites (1–4). However, the molecular mechanisms of the receptor loss are completely unknown.
