Abstract
The goal of green chemistry described recently in the June 2002, issue of the Chemical and Engineering News1 quite obviously pertains to polymer chemistry and the future of the Polymer Industry as well. This multifaceted goal was recorded as:
The design, development, and implementation of chemical products and processes to reduce or eliminate the use and generation of substances hazardous to human health and the environment.
