Abstract
In this paper, we investigate the finite-time H∞ control problem for the class of cascade nonlinear switched systems consisting of two parts which are also switched systems using a state-dependent switching method. The state feedback controller and the switching law are designed respectively, which guarantees that the corresponding closed-loop system is finite-time bounded and has a prescribed H∞ performance index; the corresponding sliding motion problems are also considered. Sufficient conditions for the solvability of the problem are obtained. A numerical example is given to demonstrate the validity of the proposed approach.

Qingyu Su received his B.Sc. degree in electrical automation in 2005, and his M.Sc. degree in control theory and application in 2008, both from Liaoning Technical University, China. He completed his Ph.D. degree in control theory and application in 2013 at Northeastern University, China. Now he is an Associate Professor at the School of Automation Engineering, Northeast Dianli University, China. From October 2015 to October 2016, he was a visiting scholar at the Intelligent Systems and Biomedical Robotics Group (ISR), University of Portsmouth, UK. He has published 12 articles on SCI Journals and 8 papers on international conferences. His research interests include switched systems, nonlinear control systems and power systems.
Xiaolong Jia received the B.S. degree in school of control and computer engineering from North China Electric Power University, Beijing, China, in 2012. He is currently working toward an M.S. degree in the school of automation engineering, Northeast Dianli University, Jilin, China. He has published 2 articles on SCI Journals and 1 paper on international conferences. His research interests include switched systems, nonlinear control systems and finite-time control problems.
