Abstract
An optical frequency comb has been used to measure the frequency of a diode laser system, locked to the P(10), P(11), P(15), P(16), P(20), and P(21) transitions in the ν1+ν3 overtone band of 13C2H2. When locked to any of these transitions, the laser frequency showed a stability of 4×10-12 in 1 s and a reproducibility of better than 1 kHz. The frequency of the reference P(16) transition was found to be P(16)=194369569383.83 kHz with an uncertainty of 0.32 kHz, based on measurements of a single system, and 2.5 kHz, based on the reproducibility of independent systems.
