Summary
A case of prolonged postoperative neuromuscular blockade is described in a patient who had received the polysaccharide antibiotic colistin methanesulfonate preoperatively. The paralysis was neostigmine resistant but responded to administration of calcium chloride.
RéSUMé
On rapporte un cas de blocage neuromusculaire prolongé chez un malade qui avait regu l’antibiotique polysaccharide (colistimeéthate) avant l’opération. La paralysie était résistante à la néostigmine mais l’administration de chlorure de calcium était efficace.
