Abstract
Telomerase activity was analysed in 25 cases of TCCB. The levels of telomerase activity were positive in a high percentage of cases −21 of 25 (84%) in histological samples and 18 of 25 (72%) in bladder washes. Evaluation of telomerase activity seems to be a sensitive technique for the detection of TCCB, and it could substitute or complement current cytological techniques for the study of patients with this type of neoplasm
