Abstract
The systematics of cross sections for 14 MeV neutron induced(n, p), (n, d), (n, t), (n,3He) and (n, α) reactions are studied within a simple evaporation model. Using few parameters, global prescriptions are obtained giving the cross sections in terms of the parameter (N−Z+1)/A instead of the generally used (N−Z)/A parameter. Improved fits to the data are expected as has been shown for the case of the (n, p) cross section.
