Summary
A new extraction principle of the on-line method using the binary solvent system water + acetone is presented. The water amount of the organic phase containing the pesticides is removed by anhydrous MgSO4, instead of previously used non-polar solvents. Therefore, a further reduction of the solvent emission into the environment is reached. In addition, the working sequences of the two simultaneous and sequential extraction steps of this new technique are discussed and illustrated.
