Abstract
Screw fixation is used commonly in the treatment of pelvic and acetabular fractures. Cannulated screws and fluoroscopic imaging have contributed to improved accuracy of screw placement. A thorough understanding of anatomically safe fixation corridors in the pelvis is critical. Preoperative planning should include a reduction strategy and identification of anatomic variants that may limit safe corridors.
