Zusammenfassung
Gefäßverletzungen gehören neben Schädel-Hirn-Traumata zu den am häufigsten zum Tode führenden Verletzungen bei Polytraumata. Sowohl stumpfe als auch penetrierende Traumata können Gefäßverletzungen verursachen. Retroperitoneal liegen die großen arteriellen und venösen Gefäße der unteren Körperhälfte sowie der Baucheingeweide. Je nach Lage und Ausmaß der Gefäßverletzung variiert die Symptomatik von minimal bis zum (Tod im) hämorrhagischen Schock. Die Therapie kann konservativ, interventionell-radiologisch oder operativ sein und richtet sich nach Lage und Ausmaß der Gefäßverletzung.
