Zusammenfassung
Die Häufigkeit der Harnsteinerkrankung und die hohe Rezidivrate einiger Steinarten erfordern zusätzlich zur interventionellen Therapie eine Prophylaxebehandlung, die risikoadaptiert erfolgt. Während bei Patienten mit niedrigem Rezidivrisiko allgemeine Ernährungs- und Verhaltensempfehlungen ausreichend sind, benötigen die Hochrisikopatienten zudem eine medikamentöse Metaphylaxetherapie, die sich im Wesentlichen an den Ergebnissen der erweiterten metabolischen Abklärung orientiert. Durch die pharmakologische Behandlung kann, die Compliance des Patienten vorausgesetzt, die Steinbildungsfrequenz signifikant gesenkt werden, was nicht zuletzt in Zeiten hohen ökonomischen Drucks erstrebenswert ist.
Im folgenden Kapitel werden Maßnahmen der medikamentösen Rezidivprophylaxebehandlung steinartspezifisch und in Abhängigkeit von der vorausgegangenen metabolischen Untersuchung dargestellt.
