Zusammenfassung
Der Erfolg psychotherapeutischer Methoden setzt voraus, dass Patienten sich für die Methode öffnen, sich auf die therapeutischen Interventionen einlassen und diese zunehmend selbstständig im Alltag umsetzen. Dafür sind sie, abhängig von Kontextbedingungen, nicht immer gleichermaßen motiviert, und es kann zur therapeutischen Aufgabe werden, die Motivation zu fördern. In diesem Kapitel werden die wichtigsten Grundbedingungen der Veränderungsmotivation ebenso vorgestellt, wie die therapeutischen Haltungen und Interventionen, die geeignet sind, die Veränderungsmotivation zu fördern und zu entwickeln.
