Zusammenfassung
Die peritoneale Metastasierung stellt noch immer eine große Herausforderung für das interdisziplinäre Management der betroffenen Patienten dar. Nachdem zunächst sehr große Hoffnungen in die Kombination aus zytoreduktiver Chirurgie (CRS) und hypertherme intraperitoneale Chemotherapie (HIPEC) gesetzt wurden, hat sich in einer kürzlich publizierten randomisierten Studie gezeigt, dass der Wert einer HIPEC neu diskutiert werden muss. Evident scheint jedoch zu sein, dass die CRS bei selektierten Patienten von Vorteil ist, sofern diese mit niedriger Morbidität und Mortalität durchgeführt werden kann.
