Ethische Grundlagen und spezifische ethische Herausforderungen in den therapeutischen Gesundheitsberufen Ergotherapie, Logopädie und Physiotherapie

Zusammenfassung

Die Ethik der therapeutischen Gesundheitsberufe Ergotherapie, Logopädie und Physiotherapie hat sich im Kontext ihrer Akademisierung und Professionalisierung international verstärkt in den letzten 30 Jahren entwickelt. Sie orientiert sich an bestehenden Bereichsethiken im Gesundheitswesen, insbesondere der Medizin- und Pflegeethik. Darüber hinaus leistet sie mit ihrem Fokus auf die spezifischen Werte, Rollen und Aufgaben der Therapieberufe einen eigenständigen Beitrag zur Ethik im Gesundheitswesen. Dies zeigt sich beim Blick auf die typischen ethischen Herausforderungen, die sich diesen Berufen stellen.

Neben der Charakterisierung einer übergreifenden therapeutischen Ethik, die sich mit ähnlichen Themen befasst, ist es wichtig, die Rolle einer spezifischen Ethik in der Ergotherapie, Logopädie und Physiotherapie für ein ethisch fundiertes Selbstverständnis und Handeln des jeweiligen Berufs zu verstehen sowie die Wechselwirkung zwischen ethischem Diskurs und disziplinärer Theoriebildung.
