Dieses Kapitel befasst sich mit den wesentlichen Aspekten, die hinsichtlich des Lichtschutzes bei der IPL-, Laser- und PDT-Behandlung beachtet werden müssen. Neben den Grundlagen zur Photoprotektion und den hierzu existierenden Empfehlungen werden auch spezielle Thematiken wie der Zusammenhang zwischen UV-Schutz und Photokarzinogenen, Photoaging und Photodermatosen näher beleuchtet.
