Dabei nähert er sich diesem Thema aus der Lean Management-Perspektive: Er gibt zuerst einen detaillierten Überblick über Lean Management, dessen Ziele, Tools und Methoden. Danach zeigt er anhand von Beispielen vertieft einzelne Prozessoptimierungen in der Rechtsabteilung auf (Tagesstruktur, Termin- und Fristenmanagement, Vertragsmanagement und IT-Infrastruktur). Im Abschluss des Kapitels werden auch noch weitere praktische Ressourcenoptimierungen aufgezeigt.
