Zusammenfassung
Die anorektale Manometrie kann bei Erwachsenen einen relevanten Bestandteil der Diagnostik einer Stuhlinkontinenz oder Entleerungsstörung darstellen. Mit der anorektalen Manometrie sollten folgende Parameter bestimmt werden: Ruhedruck, maximaler Kneifdruck, der rektoanale Inhibitionsreflex (»RAIR«) sowie die sensorischen Schwellenwerte der Rektumdehnung und die rektale Compliance. Weitere Messparameter gehören nicht zur manometrischen Routinediagnostik und bleiben speziellen Fragestellungen vorbehalten. Sowohl klinische Relevanz als auch therapeutische Konsequenzen der Manometrie im Rahmen der proktologischen Diagnostik bleiben kontrovers.
