Zusammenfassung

Regionale Therapieverfahren werden zur gezielten Behandlung eines tumor- oder metastasentragenden Organs oder Organsystems eingesetzt. Sie werden einerseits von den lokalen (z. B. chirurgischen oder ablativen) Techniken, andererseits der medikamentösen Systemtherapie abgegrenzt. Im Bereich der internistischen und chirurgischen Onkologie besitzen vor allem die regionalen intravasalen (z. B. über die Arteria hepatica) und intrakavitären Applikationen antineoplastischer Medikamente einen Stellenwert. Im vorliegenden Kapitel werden die regionalen Chemotherapieverfahren der Leber sowie die transarterielle Chemoembolisation besprochen.
