Zusammenfassung
Die endovaskuläre Versorgung der thorakalen und thorakoabdominellen Aorta (TEVAR; „thoracic endovascular aortic repair“) hat seit der ersten Anwendung Anfang der 1990er-Jahre Einzug in die Aortenchirurgie genommen und ist heutzutage eine wichtige Therapieoption für die Behandlung von Pathologien dieser Aortenabschnitte. Durch die geringere Invasivität mit reduzierter perioperativer Morbidität und Mortalität im Vergleich zum konventionellen offen-chirurgischen Aortenersatz stellt die endovaskuläre Behandlung für ein breites Spektrum an Aortenpathologien die Therapie der ersten Wahl dar. Neben den rein endovaskulären Verfahren wird in diesem Kapitel auch auf die Hybridverfahren (viszerales und zervikales Debranching) eingegangen.
