Zusammenfassung
Die weltweite Zunahme ambulanter Eingriffe, wurde durch die Entwicklung minimal-invasiver Operationsverfahren und kurzwirksamer Anästhetika ermöglicht. Allerdings birgt die fehlende Überwachung der Patienten in der perioperativen Phase Risiken, die ein besonderes Vorgehen erfordern. Um diese Risiken zu minimieren, müssen ambulant tätige Anästhesisten eine adäquate apparative, räumliche und personelle Ausstattung bereitstellen, Vorbereitung, Narkoseführung und Nachbetreuung der Patienten den besonderen Erfordernissen anpassen sowie bei Komplikationen die rasche stationäre Weiterbehandlung gewährleisten.
