Zusammenfassung
Dieses Kapitel beleuchtet Projekte aus der Sicht der Netzwerkforschung. Dazu wollen wir ausgewählte Theorien und empirische Befunde aus dem breiten Feld der sozialen Netzwerkanalyse einführen und mit zentralen Fragen des Projektmanagements verknüpfen. Projekte können idealtypisch selbst als soziales Netzwerk beschrieben werden, in dem AkteurInnen auf Vertrauensbasis Informationen, Wissen, Personal und andere Ressourcen austauschen, um gemeinsame Projektziele zu erreichen. Mit Netzwerken als spezifischer Koordinationsform lassen sich zudem typische Unsicherheiten bei der Anbahnung und Durchführung von Projekten, beim Umgang mit Stakeholdern oder bei zentralen Fragen der Personalrekrutierung bewältigen. Es werden Netzwerkkonzepte sowie netzwerktheoretische Ansätze im Kontext der Projektarbeit diskutiert. Manche Annahmen erscheinen auf den ersten Blick womöglich nur lose mit den klassischen Herausforderungen des Projektmanagements verbunden; dennoch bieten gerade die Analysen der Netzwerkforschung viel Raum für eine Neuinterpretation klassischer Handlungsfelder in der Projektarbeit.
