Zusammenfassung

In diesem Kapitel wird die Dimension Individualismus/Kollektivismus und deren Bedeutungen in der kulturvergleichenden Forschung diskutiert. Um das Konstrukt aus psychologischer Perspektive zu betrachten, werden grundlegende Konzepte und Methoden vorgestellt. Es wird der Einfluss des Konstrukts in Hinblick auf die empirische Entwicklung universeller Kategoriensysteme und deren Bedeutung als kulturelle Universalien betrachtet. Darüber hinaus werden mögliche methodische Herausforderungen und Probleme beleuchtet.
