Zusammenfassung
Dieser Beitrag gibt einen Überblick über die aktuelle Menschenrechtssituation und die staatlichen Politiken zu den internationalen Menschenrechtsnormen in den fünf zentralasiatischen Staaten, Kasachstan, Usbekistan, Kirgistan, Turkmenistan und Tadschikistan. Dabei wird überblicksartig dargestellt, inwiefern diese Ländern gegenüber den Vereinten Nationen und anderen internationalen Organisationen der Einhaltung der internationalen Menschenrechte nachkommen oder nicht und inwiefern Nichtregierungsorganisationen im Land Einfluss auf die Verbesserung der Menschenrechtslage haben.
