Zusammenfassung
Der Begriff der Menschenrechte ist für den moralischen als auch politisch-rechtlichen Diskurs auf internationaler Ebene unerlässlich geworden. Menschenrechte werden vor allem dort zum Thema, wo konkret erfahrenes Unrecht gegenüber Menschen wahrgenommen wird oder wo es um globale Wertediskurse geht. Welche Gestalt die Menschenrechte dabei im Konkreten annehmen, ist je nach kulturellem Kontext verschieden. Auf formaler Ebene herrscht zumindest weitgehend ein grundlegendes Verständnis über die Idee der Menschenrechte als schützenswertes Gedankengut.
