Zusammenfassung
Die Verfügbarkeit von Wahlwerbespots auf Plattformen wie YouTube hat weitreichendes Potenzial für die Informationssuche und die politische Partizipation der Nutzer. So erreichen die Botschaften der Parteien ein breites Publikum, das diese Botschaften unmittelbar kommentieren und diskutieren kann. In diesem Beitrag steht die Frage im Fokus, inwieweit sich Unterstützer und Gegner der Parteien durch die Wahlwerbespots zur Bundestagswahl 2017 mobilisieren ließen. Um das partizipative Potenzial der YouTube-Videos zu untersuchen, wurden zunächst die darin vermittelten Narrative in einer qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse rekonstruiert. Anschließend wurde die Resonanz in den Nutzerkommentaren durch eine quantitative Inhaltsanalyse ausgewertet. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass vor allem die AfD mit einem Narrativ des drohenden Niedergangs Unterstützer mobilisieren konnte, wohingegen vor allem die CDU und die FDP gegnerischen Kommentaren ausgesetzt waren. Zudem vernachlässigen alle Parteien die Möglichkeit zur Interaktion mit den Nutzern.

In die Analyse wurden nur solche Wahlwerbespots aufgenommen, die zum Zeitpunkt der Erhebung (Februar 2018) von den im Bundestag vertretenen Parteien auf deren YouTube-Auftritten zur Diskussion angeboten wurden. Während die CDU (https://youtu.be/IPT-7P0EtW0), die FDP (https://youtu.be/tXyVdCKjldI), die AfD (https://youtu.be/Y5OUKddkpkA) und Bündnis 90/Die Grünen (https://youtu.be/T5h1uALnOiA) diese Kriterien erfüllten, wurden die CSU (https://youtu.be/_GCbu3_caKc) und DIE LINKE (https://youtu.be/6hl8TDU5R2c) nicht berücksichtigt, da diese Parteien keine Kommentare auf Ihren YouTube-Kanälen zuließen. Auch der Spot der SPD wurde nicht aufgenommen, da dieser gänzlich vom eigenen YouTube-Kanal entfernt wurde.
