Zusammenfassung
Die Reduktion des Hubraums in Verbindung mit einem geeigneten Aufladesystem ist eine anerkannt wirkungsvolle Maßnahme, um die CO2- Emissionen des Verbrennungsmotors weiter abzusenken. Zwei Voraussetzungen sind hierfür zu erfüllen: Zum einen muss für identische Fahrleistungen die spezifische Motorleistung deutlich erhöht werden. Zum anderen dürfen die mitteldrucksteigernden Maßnahmen aber weder die Wirkungsgrade in der Teillast reduzieren, noch die verbrauchsgünstigen Kennfeldbereiche einschränken. Der Weiterentwicklung der Aufladetechnik kommt hierbei eine Schlüsselrolle zu.
