Zusammenfassung
Befürworter von Mediation betonen häufig die hohe Flexibilität dieses Verfahrens sowie seine Anpassungsfähigkeit an persönliche Interessen und Bedürfnisse von Individuen. Bereits aus einem Alltagsverständnis heraus scheint daher die Annahme besonders nahe zu liegen, dass sich Mediation auch für eine konstruktive Bearbeitung von Konflikten zwischen Menschen aus verschiedenen Kulturen sehr gut eignet. Werte- und Identitätskonflikte scheinen sich mit rechtsbasierten Verfahren nicht hinreichend greifen zu lassen.
