Zusammenfassung
Mit den neuen Technologien entstehen Möglichkeiten, Bildung abseits der traditionellen Institutionen neu zu strukturieren. Wenn digitale Bildungsinhalte immer mehr Lernenden zur Verfügung stehen, verschiebt sich zwangsläufig auch die Rolle des Lehrenden, weg vom Produzenten derartigen Inhalts, hin zu einem Kurator, Mentor und Coach von Lernpfaden. Offen bleibt, wie die Hochschulen auf solche Umbrüche reagieren werden. Werden sie die neuen digitalen Lerninhalte zur Bewältigung des Massenansturms operationalisieren – also alles ändern, damit alles so bleibt wie es ist - oder werden sie sich grundlegend verändern, um mehr Individualität des Lernens zu ermöglichen? Dies wird Gegenstand einer Diskussion sein, die wohl über die Grenzen der akademischen Community hinausgehen muss, damit sie ihrer Relevanz und Tragweite gerecht wird.
