Wer war diese Autorin, die weder Planerin noch Architektin war? Jane Isabel Butzner wurde 1916 in Scranton im U. S. Bundesstaat Pennsylvania als Tochter eines Arztes und einer Lehrerin und Krankenschwester in einer sechsköpfigen Familie geboren (Lang et al. 2012: 13). In dieser kleinen Industriestadt durchlief sie ihre allgemeine Ausbildung, lernte Stenografie und ging dabei ihrer Leidenschaft dem Schreiben nach..
