Abstract
During type-approval testing to obtain General Certification for passenger cars and light-duty trucks, the exhaust-gas test is conducted with the vehicle mounted on a chassis dynamometer. The test differs from exhaustgas tests that are conducted using workshop measuring devices for in-field monitoring.
For the type approval of heavy-duty trucks, exhaust-gas tests are carried out on engine test benches.
