Abstract
Kamp’s theorem states that the temporal logic with modalities Until and Since has the same expressive power as the First-Order Monadic Logic of Order (FOMLO) over Real and Natural time flows. Kamp notes that there are expressions which deserve to be regarded as tense operators but are not representable within FOMLO. The words ‘mostly’ and ‘usually’ are examples of such expressions. We propose a formalization of ‘usually’ as a generalized Mostowski quantifier and prove an analog of Kamp’s theorem.
