Abstract
The paper investigates the auto-calibration problem for mobile device cameras. We extend existing algorithms to get a robust method that computes internal camera parameters given a series of distant objects images. The algorithm is tested on real images generated by several different cameras. We estimate the impact of errors in camera calibration parameters in image mosaicing and 3D reconstruction problems.
