Zusammenfassung
Entscheidungen müssen auch in der Medizin ständig gefällt werden. Sie unterliegen dabei nicht immer objektiven Kriterien, sondern grundsätzlich auch sog. Soft Skills, also der ur-menschlichen Art und Weise, überhaupt Entscheidungen zu fällen, sowie den Modulationen durch die jeweilige Situation; diese nimmt ebenfalls auf die zu treffende Entscheidung wesentlichen Einfluss.
Auf der Basis der Ergebnisse moderner Hirnforschung werden die Grundtatsachen menschlicher Entscheidungsfindung dargestellt. Neben biologischen Grundlagen sind aber auch noch verschiedene weitere Faktoren daran beteiligt, wann und warum individuell unterschiedlich Entscheidungen getroffen werden, wie z.B. die individuelle Ausbildung und Erfahrung sowie die äußeren Variablen und Ereignisse, die unter starken Emotionen erlebt wurden.
