Zusammenfassung

Die Hypertonie ist eine der häufigsten Erkrankungen bei schwangeren Patientinnen. Insgesamt besteht eine Hypertonie bei 3–5 % aller Schwangerschaften (Magee et al. 1999), und die Rate wird mit dem Trend unserer Gesellschaft, die Schwangerschaft in das 30. oder 40. Lebensjahrzehnt zu verschieben, sicherlich steigen. Eine vorbestehende Hypertonie birgt ein gesundheitliches Risiko für die Mutter und das ungeborene Kind (Orbach et al. 2013). Zusätzlich sind einige Bluthochdruckmedikamente in der Schwangerschaft kontraindiziert, sodass möglichst vor der Konzeption eine Umstellung der antihypertensiven Medikation erfolgen sollte.
