Zusammenfassung
An den Folgen hypertensiver Schwangerschaftserkrankungen wie der Präeklampsie, Eklampsie und dem HELLP-Syndrom („hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, low platelet count“) sterben weltweit jährlich mehr als 50.000 Schwangere. Die einzige kausale Therapie ist die Beendigung der Schwangerschaft. Auch peripartale Blutungskomplikationen und die Fruchtwasserembolie sind führende Ursachen für mütterliche peripartale Todesfälle.
Dieses Kapitel stellt die Pathophysiologien schwangerschaftsassoziierter Notfälle und deren intensivmedizinisches sowie geburtshilfliches Management und das Krankheitsbild der peripartalen Kardiomyopathie mit seinen Besonderheiten dar.
