Zusammenfassung
Klinische Studien können monozentrisch oder multizentrisch durchgeführt wer-den. Monozentrische Studien, auch unizentrisch oder „Single Center“-Studien be-zeichnet, sind solche, die im Bereich der klinischen Forschung nur an einem (au-tonomen) klinischen Zentrum (z. B. einer Krankenhausabteilung oder Praxis) durchgeführt werden. Die wichtigsten Charakteristika monozentrischer Studien, Vor- und Nachteile auch im Vergleich zu multizentrischen Studien, werden im Folgenden dargestellt.
