Mit Emotional ›Man‹ schlug Helena Flam früh einen Ansatz vor, der zeigte, wie die damals im Entstehen begriffene Soziologie der Emotionen in Bezug zu Kernfragen der Soziologie – insbesondere soziale Ordnung und soziales Handeln – zu setzen ist.
