Zusammenfassung
Der Autor verfasste mehr als 20 Erzählwerke über wichtige Ereignisse und Personen der arabisch-islamischen Geschichte, von denen er viele als Fortsetzungsromane in seiner Zeitschrift al-Hilāl in Kairo veröffentlichte. Mit den didaktisch-unterhaltsamen Romanen versuchte er bei einer breiten Leserschaft das Bewusstsein für eine arabische Kulturnation zu wecken und schuf damit zugleich einen Meilenstein des modernen arabischen Romans.
