Abstract
For Chinese gas storage facilities, reservoir heterogeneity, water invasion of the gas layers, and burial deep sensitivity caused by stress result in only some of the original gas reservoir properties contributing to gas storage theory. The mobile gas water interface of the original gas layers and each partition were used to establish a mathematical model for gas storage, and the result was a set of calculations and a storage capacity design method, which can be used to determine the working gas volume, the cushion gas volume, the additional cushion gas volume, and the operating pressure range.
