Zusammenfassung
Das Hip-Spine-Syndrom ist erstmals 1983 von Offierski und Macnab beschrieben worden (Offierski und MacNab 1983). Die Autoren definierten das Hip-Spine-Syndrom als gleichzeitig bestehende Pathologie des Hüftgelenkes und der Wirbelsäule. Eine nicht ausreichende Diagnostik kann zu Fehldiagnosen und falschen Therapiestrategien mit weitreichenden Konsequenzen bei gelenkersetzenden oder spinalen operativen Eingriffen führen. Da die Symptomatik undulierend sein kann und subjektive beziehungsweise objektive Befunde teilweise divergieren, sind eine dezidierte Anamnese und klinische Untersuchung unter Einbeziehung diverser lumbaler Pathologien, als auch intra- und extraartikulärer Pathologien des Hüftgelenkes, für die differenzialdiagnostischen Erwägungen unbedingt notwendig.
