Zusammenfassung
Motivation ist ein facettenreiches Phänomen. Besonders im Bezug auf das Lernen und somit auch auf e-Learning wird der Motivation eine bedeutende Rolle zugeschrieben, da die Stärke der Motivation über die Richtung, Ausdauer und Intensität unserer Handlungen entscheidet. Im folgenden Beitrag werden im ersten Teil für das Lernen bedeutsame Aspekte der Motivation – Interesse, intrinsische und extrinsische Motivation sowie das Leistungsmotiv – theoretisch beschrieben. Im zweiten Teil wird das ARCS-Modell vorgestellt, welches basierend auf den theoretischen Grundlagen Empfehlungen für die motivierende Gestaltung von Lernumgebungen gibt. Diese Empfehlungen werden in vier Kategorien eingeteilt: Aufmerksamkeit, Relevanz, Erfolgszuversicht und Zufriedenheit. Zu diesen Kategorien stellt der Beitrag neben den Einzelmaßnahmen aktuelle Beispiele aus der Forschung dar, welche die Wirksamkeit der Maßnahmen aus dem ARCS-Modell näher untersuchen und differenzieren.
