Zusammenfassung
Infektionen der Haut sind ein sehr häufiges Problem in der dermatologischen Praxis. Für viele Infektionserkrankungen stehen kulturelle und serologische Nachweismethoden zur Verfügung. Bei Erregern, die nur schwer kultivierbar sind, bei denen die Serologie nicht verlässlich ist oder wenn der klinische Befund uncharakteristisch ist, hat die histologische Untersuchung einer Hautbiopsie eine entscheidende diagnostische Bedeutung.
