Zusammenfassung
Migration ist nicht nur in der Gesellschaft und in der Politik ein aktuelles Thema, sondern auch in der Forschung. Aufgrund der vielen Migrationsbewegungen in den letzten Jahren in bzw. nach Europa, beschäftigt sich die Forschung u. a. mit den Vorurteilen, Diskriminierungen und psychologischen Aspekten der Migration. Die aktuelle Forschung zeigt, dass Migration vor allem dann erfolgreich ist, wenn nicht nur die Migrierenden bereit sind sich der Gastkultur anzupassen, sondern auch die Gastkultur die Migrierenden bei der soziokulturellen Anpassung unterstützt. Durch den interkulturellen Kontakt können Stereotype und Vorurteile sowie Diskriminierung gegenüber der Migrierenden reduziert werden.
