Abstract
Unicompartmental osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee is a degenerative pathology limited to the medial or lateral aspect of the tibiofemoral joint or patellofemoral joint. In order to preserve the healthy adjacent compartments of the knee, unicompartmental or unicondylar knee arthroplasty (UKA) is often indicated especially in young patients. This chapter focuses on the radiological particularities of the pathology as well as the pitfalls of UKA, illustrated in series of SPECT/CT scans and radiographs of a 53 years old patient who was converted from UKA to total knee replacement (TKR).
